JRC Design was established in 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona by Jamie Cowgill, setting the
firm's primary focus on environmental graphic design and corporate communications.
Ms. Cowgill understood the critical importance of being able to combine both two-dimensional
graphics with the three-dimensional realm, and began specializing in environmental graphics
and how the two graphic disciplines work independently and together.
Over the years, the
firm has been dedicated to the field of environmental graphics, wayfinding and creating better ways of communicating in the built environment. Our designers know how to plan, analyze, and create visual solutions to communication problems in the environment by considering cognitive, cultural, physical, and social factors in the planning and execution of designs appropriate for each project.
JRC Design has recently completed and moved into their own studio of over 1800 square feet of an old Arcadia home on 44th Street. The process of rezoning, designing, demolition, reconstruction and moving took over three years, but was well worth it in having their own creative space.
The firm is woman-owned and is certified with the City of Phoenix, Maricopa County, and the Department of Transportation as a WBE organization.
